Christmas Foodbank Collection

Christmas Foodbank Collection

We wanted to let you know that here at Turton, a group of our wonderful students are once again running our Christmas Foodbank collection.

Over the last few years, we have collected meals to distribute to local families in crisis. Recent research shows that there are many families in great need, particularly in the North West. Research for the End Child Poverty Coalition shows that across the Northwest of England 37% of all children are living in poverty.

If you feel able to help, we will be collecting long-dated non-perishable food items such as:

1. Tins of pulses, tuna, vegetables.
2. Meat-based meals in a tin.
3. Jars of pasta/curry sauce.

Students can hand in donations to their form tutors up until Friday 12th of December.

Thank you for your support; it will make such a difference to those who need help in our local community.
