Mini Bus Appeal

Dear parents,

I hope you are keeping well and that your child has settled well into the new school year.

The autumn term is always busy with sports fixtures and trips, and it has been heart-warming to see these events taking place in earnest again.  Students are involved in sports and extracurricular visits, to a wide range of places such as sports fixtures; the theatre; fieldtrips to Snowdonia; visits to museums; career fairs; universities, the list goes on.  The benefits of participating in these are huge and have been missed during the pandemic.  We know how important this is, which is why we have an upsurge in our extracurricular provision this year.

One of the ways we keep costs down (especially important at the moment) is to provide transport in our school minibuses wherever possible.  The minibuses are a convenient and efficient way of transporting students to events off site and form a crucial part of our extra-curricular provision.

We currently have two minibuses and these are used extensively every week.  One of them is now getting on a bit and we would like to replace this with a newer vehicle.  As such, we are reaching out to parents and the local community for support.

Would you be able to help us to raise money for the cost of a replacement?  Any amount, no matter how big or small, would make a difference and help us keep costs as low as possible for all our students.  On parent pay we have a link where you can donate money to the minibus fund, and I thank you in advance if you are able to do this.  If you are involved with a company that could help us, please contact me directly at school, to discuss how you may be able to help out with sponsorship.

Thank you for taking the time to read this; I will hopefully be able to provide an update with a picture of our new minibus soon.

Kind regards,
