Celebrating World Book Day
( by L. Gray / J. Sprawling )
To celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March 2016 Year 7 & 8 students were invited to consider how their favourite book could be represented in a simple jar. The project was a cross-curricular venture between our English and Art & Design Departments and resulted in some incredibly creative, thought provoking entries that were displayed in the school library throughout World Book Day.
Traditional childrens’ classics to more contemporary reads were produced in jar-format and even The Bible made an ingenious appearance!
We were inundated with fantastic entries which made the judges job all the more difficult in selecting the winning jars. Well done to each and every student who participated!
