Staff Spotlight:  SENDCo

 

 

Here at Turton School, our Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCo) is Mr Bach.

 

He is a qualified teacher who has had extra training about SEND and he is responsible for arranging the extra support for young people with SEND.  He helps staff to support young people with SEND in the classroom and around school. 

 

He is based in the Learning Support Department, where he works with a great team of teaching assistants.  They run break clubs, homework clubs, support in class, deliver learning support and foundation learning lessons, as well as working with parents, other services and the local council to support our young people with SEND.
