Today, a dramatic shooting took place in Grasse, South France. Police have already arrested a male, 17, after at least two people were hurt. It occurred at Tocqueville High School, during lunch. The boy, who was accompanied by another male was said to be heavily armed. Grasse Town Hall described the incident as not terror related. This took place just 44km (27 miles) from Nice, where a terror attack recently occurred, resulting in a lorry killing 86 civilians.
Residents in Grasse were advised to stay inside as a terror warning was issued. The suspect allegedly opened fire on the headmaster of the school using weapons which were unknown to be operational.
The interior minister announced on Twitter that a security operation was underway. More information is said to be released as soon as they know more about the attack.
