Champions League Exit for Star-struck City

By Jack and George

Manchester City crashed out of the Champions league last night by losing 6-6 on aggregate and going home due to losing 3-1 on away goals, missing a place in the quarter finals.

In the first leg, the blues from Manchester won 5-3 in a hard-fought victory against Monaco. But, in the second leg, the tables turned at the Stade Louis where it was a 3-1 win for Monaco with goals from Mbappe Lottin, Fabinho and the powerhouse in midfield, Bakayoko.

The Ligue 1 side, who have scored 123 goals this season, were on top in the game and some say they deserved the quarter final place. Pep Guardiola, the City manager who has won the Champions League twice, said he was the one to blame for the loss last night saying that he couldn’t convince the team to attack.
