BBC Philharmonic Visit (1st October, 2025)
On Wednesday the 1st of October the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra performed at Turton! This was a really exciting event and we wanted to involve as many students as possible. The orchestra were very impressed with the behaviour and attentiveness of the pupils and the excellent staff support enabled the concerts and the day to run very smoothly.
It was clear to the orchestra that there was a real buzz about the place on the day and a real interest from both staff and pupils in the opportunity we had been given. A special thanks to the Drama team for lending us the Arts Theatre for the whole day; to the office staff for dealing with over 30 visiting musicians all signing in at the same time; and to the site team for their help with logistics.
